These Terms govern your access to and use of Plume, the teacher management software operated by M.E.A Technological Solutions ("Plume", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Plume is software for educational organizations and independent teachers to manage students, curriculum, homework, sessions, billing, and communication with students and parents over WhatsApp. We provide the software; you are responsible for how you use it with your students and families.
2. Accounts and eligibility
Teacher and administrator accounts are for adults aged 18 or over. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. An organization administrator is responsible for the teachers they invite.
3. Customer data and students
You and your organization control the student and parent information you enter, and you are responsible for having a lawful basis and any required parental consent before adding a student or contacting a family. Plume processes that information on your behalf to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your content.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use Plume for any unlawful purpose or to contact people without a lawful basis.
- Do not upload malicious code, attempt to breach security, or access data that is not yours.
- Do not resell, reverse engineer, or copy the software except as permitted by law.
- Do not use the service to send unsolicited or abusive messages.
5. Plans, billing, and payments
Plume is offered on a per-student monthly subscription at the per-student rate for your organization's region, as quoted to you and shown on the Billing page in the app. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the merchant of record and reseller for purchases. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You are billed for the students you are actively teaching. Prices exclude taxes unless stated; applicable taxes are added at checkout by Paddle.
Each active student includes a generous monthly fair use of the work Plume generates, such as homework, tests and suggested feedback. If a student reaches it, Plume stops generating new work for that student until the next billing cycle; everything else keeps working.
6. Free trial
New organizations may start a 14-day free trial without a card. At the end of the trial, continued use requires an active paid subscription. We do not charge you during the trial.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation stops future charges from the next billing cycle. Refunds are handled as described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
8. Intellectual property
Plume, including its software, design, and content, is owned by M.E.A Technological Solutions and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription. Your customer data remains yours.
9. Service availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may update or modify features over time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that reduce core functionality.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Plume supports teachers; it does not replace professional judgement about a student's education.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plume will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or for unlawful use. On termination you may export your data for a reasonable period before it is deleted.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of the Arab Republic of Egypt have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing here removes a consumer's right to the protections of the mandatory law of their own country of residence.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
