This policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for Plume subscriptions. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as our merchant of record and handles billing, taxes, and refunds.
1. Free trial
New organizations can try Plume free for 14 days with no card required. You are not charged during the trial, so you can evaluate the full product before paying.
2. Subscriptions
After the trial, Plume is billed monthly on a per-student basis at your region's rate. You are charged for the students you are actively teaching during each cycle.
3. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation stops future charges; your subscription stays active until the end of the current paid period and is not renewed after that. Removing or pausing a student stops them from counting at the next seat sync, within hours: the change is prorated, and you are credited for the rest of the month. While you are subscribed, you are billed for a minimum of one student.
4. Refunds
If you were charged in error or are not satisfied, you may request a refund within 14 days of a charge. We review requests in good faith and, where approved, Paddle processes the refund to your original payment method. Fees for a billing period that has already been used are generally non-refundable beyond this window. Where your local consumer law grants a longer or unconditional right to withdraw, that law applies instead.
5. How to cancel or request a refund
Cancel from the billing settings inside Plume. To request a refund or ask a billing question, contact support@plumeai.net with the email on your account and the charge date. Paddle also includes a billing contact on your receipt.
6. Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first; we can usually resolve it faster than a card dispute.
